The friendly fine print. These terms cover bodywork visits, the guides and templates you can buy here, and the links on this site. Questions? Email info@flourishequinebodywork.com.
Session policies
Booking. New clients send a request first, and fill out the intake form and client agreement at least 24 hours before their first visit. I reply personally to every request, and we arrange each session by call or text. There is no online booking calendar.
Rates. Current rates and discounts are listed on the Services page.
Travel. I travel to barns in Atlanta, Alpharetta, Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia. A travel fee may apply in certain circumstances, and I'll tell you before your appointment. I group visits to keep travel costs down. I also travel throughout the Southeast for multiple horses, with a travel fee.
Payment at the visit. Payment is due at the time of each session. There are no deposits. I accept credit card (3% transaction fee), Venmo (3% transaction fee), cash or Zelle. You can save a card on file for future sessions. If you can't be there, please arrange payment for the day of the visit. If a visit isn't paid on the day, future visits will need to be paid before the session starts.
Cancelling or rescheduling. Life happens, and I never charge a cancellation fee. I just ask for as much notice as you can give. If last-minute cancellations become a pattern, I may ask for payment when you book future sessions.
Before your visit. Please have your horse clean and dry (no fly spray or ointments), and someone there to jog and hold your horse. If you plan to ride that day, ride right after the session.
Your horse's safety comes first. I may pause, shorten or reschedule a session if your horse seems unwell, the setup isn't safe, or bodywork isn't right for your horse that day. If your horse is lame, unwell or recovering from injury, I'll need your vet's OK before we start.
Digital products
This covers the guides, templates and handouts sold in the For Bodyworkers shop, and free downloads.
What you get. A downloadable PDF, delivered by email and on screen right after checkout. You'll get any future updates to a guide you've bought Confirm with Jen.
How you can use it. Templates and handouts are for use in your own practice: print them for your client visits and share the stretches handout with the owners you work with. Guides are for your own use. Please don't resell, copy or share the files with other practitioners, or post them online. Want a template with your own branding or fields? Message me.
Refunds. Because these are instant downloads, I don't offer refunds or returns once a file has been delivered. But please don't let that stop you from getting in touch:
If a file won't open, the link has expired or something looks wrong, email me at info@flourishequinebodywork.com and I'll make it right. Confirm with Jen: refund an accidental duplicate purchase? Recommended yes
No guarantees of results. My guides share what has worked for me and what I've learned. Every business, area and person is different, so I can't promise any particular result, including income, client numbers or certification outcomes. You're responsible for your own decisions, including which certification program you choose. Information in the guides may change over time, and while I work hard to keep it accurate, I can't promise it's complete or current at every moment.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site, including on my "Tools I use" pages, are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of these links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend things I actually use or would happily use with my own horse. A short version of this note appears next to every affiliate link on the site.
Bodywork disclaimer
Bodywork supports your horse's wellbeing alongside veterinary care. It is not a substitute for it. If your horse is lame, unwell or recovering from injury, please check with your vet first.
Jenny Thompson is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist, not a veterinarian. Bodywork and PEMF sessions are complementary wellness services. They are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and I don't prescribe medication or supplements or do chiropractic adjustments. Reviews on this site describe individual owners' experiences, and every horse is different.
Learn hub content. The stretches, exercises and tips in the Learn hub are general education, not advice for your individual horse. Only stretch a warmed-up, sound horse. Stop if your horse braces, resists or seems uncomfortable. Stand to the side, never directly in front. Check with your vet first if your horse is lame or recovering from injury. You're responsible for how you use the information with your own horse.
